Jack and Georgie Raft are a young brother and sister duo who perform together as 'Ignite!'. Individually talented, together their
voices blend exquisitely to produce dynamic and beautiful harmonies. They have played at a number of gigs including the recent
Australian Teen Fashion Awards and Pink Ribbon Breakfast and last year Ignite! won the People's Choice award at the Royal Adelaide Show's 'Talent On Show'.
Jack has performed in musicals since the age of 9, in lead roles such as Colin in G and S Society’s ‘The Secret Garden’, Oliver Twist in
both seasons of the G & S Society’s ‘Oliver!’, JoJo in Shane Davidson’s ‘Suessical’, Kurt in G & S’s ‘The Sound of Music’, LeFou in
AYT’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Flounder in Swell Productions ‘The Little Mermaid’, Young Josh in Northern Light Society’s ‘Big’ and
Aladdin in AYT’s ‘Aladdin Jr’. Jack also played Prince Eric in Pelican Productions ‘The Little Mermaid Jnr’ for which they won two ATG Awards including best ensemble and Cinderella’s Prince in the ATG nominated Fringe production of ‘Into The Woods’. Last year Jack performed the fabulous role of Prince Chululongkorn with the Metropolitan Theatre Company in ‘The King and I’, the role of Eddie in ‘13’ and travelled to America as a soloist with the Australian Youth Performing Arts Team. Jack is soon to appear in Promise Adelaide’s war-time drama ‘All Is Calm’.
Professional credits include roles in State Opera's 'La Boheme’ and‘Tosca’, the opera ‘Amahl and the Night Visitors’ and the
Singular/State Opera workshop of “Innocence’. Jack has also appeared in several short <lms and television commercials.
Georgie is a young singer/songwriter who is working toward releasing her debut EP of contemporary songs. She has won acclaim
for her music such as ‘Young Composer of The Year’ for her section in the Australian Society for Music Education Awards and has
recently been named as a semi-<nalist (Teen Category) in the International Songwriting Competition, an event that sees over
16,000 entries. She also appeared in a number of musicals, favourite roles including Ida in Honk Jr, Narrator in Aladdin, and
Petunia in Therry's Darling Buds of May. She has been a soloist with both Pelican Productions and Adelaide Youth Theatre and was a lead soloist with the Australian Youth Performing Arts Team which travelled to America at the beginning of this year. Georgie wants to continue on her path of songwriting and is greatly enjoying performing both her own songs and covers with her brother Jack in their band, Ignite!
In this vibrant 70 minute cabaret-style show Ignite! performs a
range of beautiful songs from Coldplay to Broadway accompanied by the fabulous Sam Leske on guitar, Logan Watt on keyboard and Marlon Toth on drums. Georgie Raft will also be performing some of her award-winning original music accompanied by vocalists from performance group ‘Halifax’ – Tia Rodger, Flynn Miller, Gemma Dandie and Jack Raft.
